Adina Sanpetreanu is a registered nurse at the Diabetes Centre and Clinic in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, having graduated at the University of Medicine in Cluj and completed further studies in Roehampton University London. She has been working in diabetes education, research and teaching for more than 26 years during which she has also participated in multiple clinical studies, attended international congresses and published national and international articles.

From 2008 to 2010, Mrs Sanpetreanu attended the FEND ENDCUP Programme and obtained the FEND ENDCUP Certificate during the 15th Annual Conference in Stockholm, Sweden. She has also attended the Diabetes Self-Management Programme by Stanford University School of Medicine and has been awarded the Diabetes Educator of Excellence in 2010, 2013 and 2014 by the Romanian Federation of Diabetes and Nutritional Diseases.

She also was a co-writer on “Ghidul educatorului pentru educatia terapeutica a pacientului cu diabet zaharat”and on “Controleaza-ti diabetul”.Ghid pentru persoanele cu diabet (Guide for diabetes educators, respectively Guide for diabetes patients).

Mrs Sanpetreanu is currently vice-president at the Romanian Diabetes Educators Association (ARED) since 2014 and a lecturer at the Order of the General Nurses, Midwives and Nurses of Romania (OAMGMAMR) since 2015, providing training in continuing medical education.
