WHO Global Diabetes Compact launch 14 April
The Foundation of European Nurses in Diabetes (FEND) celebrates the discovery of insulin, the most precious gift of life, for people living with diabetes worldwide. Equity of access to insulin for all in need should be the objective of national governments and diabetes service providers. Approximately 6% of the world population live with diabetes.
FEND welcomes the objectives of the WHO Global Diabetes Compact launched on 14 April 2021 at the Global Diabetes Summit co-hosted by the World Health Organization and the Government of Canada, with the support of the University of Toronto.
