Ana Cristina Paiva

Nurse at the Diabetes Consultation and Coordinator of the Department of Medical Specialties at Portuguese Diabetes Association (Associação Protectora dos Diabéticos de Portugal – APDP).

Participated in the FEND European Nurses Diabetes Collaborative University Programme, completing a master’s degree from King’s College of London in 2016 in “Diabetes Clinical Care and Management”.

She is a trainer in Training Courses for Health Professionals and People with Diabetes / Family (APDP), collaborates as a Researcher at APDP-ERC (Education and Research Center), also collaborated in the IDF School of Diabetes.

Was the National Coordinator of Portuguese Team of the European IMAGE Project.

Is a member of the Diabetes Nursing Study Group, and of the  Diabetes Education Study Group at Sociedade Portuguesa de Diabetologia. Also a member of the executive committee of the Worldwide Partnership Program: Cities Changing Diabetes (CCD).
