EURADIA Symposium, 12 Sept, Lisbon (pre-EASD)

Shaping the future of research in Europe for the benefit of people with diabetes

This is the first symposium of its kind EURADIA has organised. The programme has the DIAMAP project as its basis and there is an excellent group of speakers  participating in the event.

The content is tailored to non-scientists and will be of interest to people with diabetes, industry, and policy makers.

UN Summit on NCDs (update)

The UN General Assembly in its resolution A/RES/65/238 decided that a high-level meeting of the General Assembly on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases shall be held on 19 and 20 September 2011 in New York. The high level meeting shall address the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases worldwide, with a particular focus on developmental and other challenges and social and economic impacts, particularly for developing countries. It will include an opening and closing plenary, as well as three thematic round tables addressing the following topics:
